A Charity empowered by Innovation

Technology Development for Poverty Alleviation Initiative – TD4PAI is an NGO, IoT Hub,  Innovation Charity and a space for invention and creation that enables innovative entrepreneurs and startups to build smart city and loT-based solutions. We are creators and developers, designers, creative techies and mentors building local capacity for connected systems enabled by Internet-of-Things, RFID, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and big data science.

Innovative entrepreneurs and startups at the Innovation Hub share a dream of making the world a better place through technology. As they grow, they attract foreign direct investment, create jobs, and grow the knowledge economy towards enhancing the socio-economic benefit of Nigeria

We are for the advancement of the knowledge economy towards enhancing the socio-economic benefit of Nigeria.

WHAT WE DO

As an IoT Hub, we provide mentorship and platform to help   IoT developers  avoid tunnel vision and its consequences by providing a comprehensive set of hardware and software components that easily combine into complete IoT applications, providing developers with a head start on their custom designs.

IoT applications bring a particularly tight convergence between hardware and software components, requiring developers to account for myriad details in each domain; We create a single platform designed to facilitate that convergence through an ecosystem that provides a unified platform of components and services designed to address the entire IoT application hierarchy.
.
At the lowest layers of the IoT hierarchy, hardware modules support high-performance data acquisition and signal processing while providing multiple wireless connectivity options.

Primary Focus:

Startup Incubation and Acceleration.
Internet of Things (loT).
Cyber-Physical Systems.
Reverse Engineering.
Robotics.
Smart Agriculture.
Renewable Energy.
Climate Change and Environment.
e-Health.
Space Technology.
Security.
Local Capcity Development.

Why Internet of Things (loT) Hub?

As the rest of the world explore the endless possibilities of Internet of Things, one is compelled to ask the question “should we remain as consumers – Adoption Model or build capacity in the core technologies required to implement and adapt loT  – Innovation Model?”

Capacity development in loT will help in the adaptation of the technology to suit our peculiarities and unique challenges such as power etc. thereby preventing the famous problem of “transferring of Northern designs to Southern realities” in other words copy-and-paste syndrome.

The practical applications of the loT in Nigeria are endless and can be used to harness development. Considering the economic gains of loT, there is an ever increasing need for an indigenous loT platform to address the specific needs of Nigeria, hence the need for td4pai IoT Hub to foster home-grown Internet of Things Solutions in diverse areas such as e-healthcare, e-agriculture, smart city, automated IGR, waste management systems, prevention of oil pilferage, security etc; to boost local content development, digital job creation, capacity development in emerging technologies,                     revenue generation and localization of data.

Through our made-in-Nigeria IoT (internet of things) fully featured Development Boards & Educational Kits, we  bring internet of things at your fingertips with the possibility of talking to the cloud, creating great opportunities to assimilate smart technologies, design the next big thing and solve unique problems.

Our Program Goals

In order to achieve our aim, TD4PAI developed the following goals:

  1. Create at least 5 start-ups annually to support the knowledge economy
  2. Provide ICT innovative education to a minimum of 5000 youth
  3. Increase TD4PAI’s visibility in the community
  4. Educate a new generation of Embedded Systems Engineering Technology Youth to meet current and future industrial challenges and emerging embedded systems engineering
  5. Identify, cultivate, finance and develop competent and innovative winning ideas, to develop Nigerian STEM companies of the future from seed stage to exit.
  6. Provide entrepreneurs and researchers in all disciplines with venues for interaction, education, support and enhanced access to cutting-edge technology, markets, financial resources, partners and services essential to the creation of new
  7. Facilitate collaboration and alliances among faculty, researchers, students and the broader community, including investors, entrepreneurs, businesses, governments and higher education institutions across the nation
  8. Support the development of nationally recognized programs emphasizing creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, and prepare the youth to succeed in today’s entrepreneurial economy

Who We Are?

TD4PAI – Technology Development for Poverty Alleviation Initiative.

Technology Development for Poverty Alleviation Initiative (td4pai) is an NGO, Innovation Charity and a space for invention and creation that enables innovative entrepreneurs and startups to build smart city and loT-based solutions. We are creators and developers, designers, creative techies and mentors building local capacity for connected systems enabled by Internet-of-Things, RFID, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and big data science.

We increase the socio-economic welfare of the society especially rural communities by creating opportunities of gainful employment via empowerment of youths from vulnerable backgrounds by making technological education accessible & developing life skills through innovation, incubation of start-ups & sustained programmes such as ICT, creative arts, sports, mentoring

Whom We Serve?

We adopt the concept of live, learn and work to encourage children, teachers, parents, college students and independent inventors to explore science, technology and their own innate creativity, inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit.

We invite participants including children, teachers, parents, college students and independent inventors to explore, understand and solve real-world problems through STEM-focused activities. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math concepts enrich each participant’s education and equip him or her with 21st-century skills that will last a lifetime.

How We Help

In order to foster the right environment to ignite a participant’s inventive spark and learning skills, TD4PAI IoT Hub provides Computer Lab, Embedded Electronics & Hardware Prototyping Labs, accommodation and food, Internet connectivity, hands-on training, curricula and program materials.

In addition to the direct educational support, Participants also receive physical and emotional support through targeted programs such as age- and gender- specific programs, comprehensive health and life skills training to ensure they are equipped with the skills they need to make healthy choices in an environment that too often fosters destructive behavior.

Under the guidance of staff and trained volunteers, children receive help in specific content areas as well as assistance with general learning strategies and study skills translating into measurable academic improvement at school.

Our Mission & Vision

To leverage Internet of Things (IoT) technology to develop life skills through innovation, incubation of start-ups & sustained programmes in ICT, creative arts, sports and mentoring.

To foster innovative ideas through start-ups creation and growth for the advancement of the economy towards enhancing the socio-economic benefit of Nigeria.
